With or without speech.

Try your local Craigslist, under @electronics@ I believe. Don]t be afraid to bargain. They often have phones and such and they often ask stupid prices for them but they]re really only worth $30 or $40 because they often come free with 2=year plans or the person has got a better phone, there really is no good seconod hand market for them so you can bargain aggressively.
That being said, hopefully soeone]s got one for you here and it]d be your solution right there.
Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been monitoring craigslist for the last month or so. The prices vary from $125 up to crazy amounts of $200 something.

I've also been looking on ebay. Ebay makes me a bit more nervous, but I'll read carefully.

The sprint q's come up more often on craigslist than the vzw's.

i'd actually go to a dealer, unless you just want the phone, then i wish you luck

I bought one off ebay about 3 months ago for $35.00 I usally look for auctions ending with in a few moments from within the time that I'm looking, and ones that end in the middle of the day as traditionally less people are in on the action. In fact every q9 from VZW I looked at was going for $80 or 90 but the one I got was in brand new condition and ended at 11:00 aM on the east coast so less folks were watching it.
Let me look up the seller I bought from and I'll post it here. I paid for the phone friday at 3:00 and actually got it in saturdays mail granted he was in ny and I in ohio, but that was still awesome turn around time if you ask me!

Big Dog that would be great!

There are no good deals via vzw right now and I'm not due for my upgrade until next Spring!

They want me to pay $400 for the q, that's insane!

I wish I felt gutsy enough to switch carriers...smile!

could you get this same phone used, but with speech?

Do you mean a moto q9c used with speech already installed?

That would be really cool, though seems unlikely.

Couldn't find my particular seller that I purchased from but a quick check of ebay yesterday showed a few q 9's in the $40 range from sellers with feedback over 1000 and 99 percent. High enough in my opinion to take a stab!

Wow, verizon moto q9c in the $40 range? Good condition, already to work?

Lol, I don't want to buy someone's old scratched up, not sure if it works phone.

Also since Sprint is also a cdma carrier you may be able to get a sprint q 9 and get it unlocked so you can use it on verizon. I would find a local independent cell store in your area and see how much they charge for this feature or if someone selling one of the sprint ones on ebay is willing to do this before putting it in the mail.

Does that work? To unlock a sprint or altell phone? If so, is it difficult?

Lol, I'd hate to buy one and find out I can't use it on Verizon. It would be cool though, Altell has a green moto q9c. lol!
